1. About us
This website is operated by Little Beasts Pet Shop. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Little Beasts Pet Shop.
These Terms of Service apply to your use of our website and purchases made through our online store. Please read them alongside our Return and Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the platform we use to sell our products. Purchases through this website are made directly with Little Beasts Pet Shop.
2. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand laws.
If any part of these terms conflicts with rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, those rights take priority.
3. Using our website
You agree to use our website lawfully and provide accurate, current information when placing an order or creating an account.
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security or operation, upload malicious software, use another person’s payment details without permission, or submit fraudulent orders.
If you create an account, please keep your login details secure and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Product information
We take reasonable care to keep product descriptions, prices, images and availability accurate.
Product colours may appear differently depending on your screen settings. Images may show styling or accessories that are not included; please check the product description for details of what you are purchasing.
We may update product listings or discontinue products. Changes to listings do not remove your rights in relation to an existing purchase.
If you are unsure whether a product suits your needs, please contact us before ordering.
Live animals are not sold through our online store.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Prices and promotions may change. Changes do not alter the agreed price of an order we have already accepted.
Payment must be authorised and received before we dispatch your order. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
Any additional conditions for a promotion will be stated with that promotion.
6. Orders and availability
When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected products.
An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order. We confirm acceptance when we notify you that your order has been dispatched or is ready for collection, unless we expressly accept it earlier.
Orders are subject to stock availability and payment approval. If we cannot supply an item, we will contact you to discuss the available options. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.
If we cannot fulfil your order, we will refund any payment taken for the products we cannot supply, together with any delivery charges that are no longer applicable.
We may decline an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised payment or unlawful activity.
7. Errors and corrections
If we discover a material error in a product description, price or delivery charge affecting your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Where an order has not yet been accepted, we may offer you the option to proceed with the correct information or cancel for a full refund.
For orders already accepted, we will handle any error in accordance with applicable New Zealand law. We will not charge you an additional amount without your agreement.
8. Changes and cancellations
Please check your items, quantities, contact details and delivery address before completing your order.
If you need to request a change or cancellation, email office@littlebeastspetshop.nz as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate a request once processing has begun.
We do not offer a general right to cancel an accepted order because you have changed your mind. This does not affect any cancellation or refund rights you have under applicable law.
9. Shipping, local delivery and collection
Available delivery and collection options, charges and relevant information are set out at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
Delivery timeframes are estimates unless we expressly agree to a specific timeframe. Where no timeframe is agreed, we will arrange delivery within a reasonable time.
If we arrange delivery, we remain responsible for resolving delivery problems with the courier or delivery provider. Please contact us if your order is missing, damaged or significantly delayed.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and any necessary delivery instructions. If an incorrect address or missed delivery means another delivery is needed, we will discuss any reasonable additional charges with you before proceeding.
For collection orders, please wait until we notify you that your order is ready before visiting.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
10. Returns, exchanges and refunds
We do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Please choose carefully and check product details before purchasing.
This restriction does not apply where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.
If there is a problem with your purchase, please contact office@littlebeastspetshop.nz. We will assess the issue and provide a remedy as required by New Zealand law.

11. Product use and care
Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions, safety warnings, storage requirements and care guidance supplied with each product.
Supervise pets when using products where appropriate, and regularly check items for wear or damage.
Information on our website is general product information and does not replace advice from a veterinarian about an animal’s health or treatment.
These requirements do not exclude our responsibility for supplying products that meet applicable consumer guarantees.
12. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our store uses Shopify and other service providers to operate the website, process payments and fulfil orders. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how personal information is collected, used and shared.
13. Website content and intellectual property
Website content, including our branding, text, photographs and graphics, belongs to Little Beasts Pet Shop or is used with permission from the relevant rights holder.
You may browse and use the website for your own shopping and information purposes. You must not reproduce or use our content commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.
Third-party brand names, logos and product materials remain the property of their respective owners.
14. Reviews and feedback
Reviews and feedback must be honest, relevant and lawful. Please do not submit content that infringes another person’s rights or contains abusive material, misleading statements or personal information you do not have permission to share.
If you submit a review for publication, you give us permission to display it and reproduce it in connection with the reviewed product or our business. We may format it for readability without changing its meaning.
We may remove content that breaches these requirements. We will not edit reviews to misrepresent customer experiences.
15. Third-party services and links
Our website may include links to third-party websites or services. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review when using their services.
We do not control external websites. This does not remove any responsibility we have under New Zealand law for services we provide or arrange as part of your purchase.
16. Website availability and liability
We take reasonable care to maintain our website, but access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults or events outside our reasonable control.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees or remedies available under applicable New Zealand law.

The terms applicable to a purchase are those in effect when the order was placed, unless you agree otherwise or a change is required by law.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
If you have a concern about an order or our services, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.
Nothing in these terms prevents you from taking a dispute to the Disputes Tribunal, a court or another appropriate authority, or exercising any rights available under applicable law.
