Shipping policy

At Little Beasts Pet Shop, we aim to get your pet supplies to you as quickly and safely as possible.

We currently ship New Zealand–wide.

Order Processing Time

  • Orders are processed Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

  • Orders placed before 12pm are usually processed the same or next business day.

  • Orders placed after 12pm, on weekends, or public holidays will be processed the next business day.

Shipping Timeframes

Estimated delivery times once your order has been dispatched:

  • South Island: 1–3 business days

  • North Island: 2–5 business days

Delivery times may vary depending on your location and courier service.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Order size and weight

  • Delivery location

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct delivery option, including rural delivery, at checkout.

Rural Deliveries

If your delivery address is rural, please ensure Rural Delivery is selected at checkout.

If a rural address is entered but a standard delivery option is selected, additional shipping charges will apply. In this case:

  • We will contact you to request payment for the additional rural delivery cost before your order is dispatched.

  • Orders will be held until the additional shipping payment is received.

Delivery to rural addresses may take an extra 1–2 business days.

Local Pickup (Click & Collect)

Local pickup is available from our Gore store:

Please allow up to 48 hours for your order to be prepared.
You’ll receive an email when your order is ready for collection.

Once your order is marked as ready, we ask that it be collected within 7 days, unless prior arrangements have been made. Orders not collected within this timeframe may be cancelled and refunded.

Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details (where available).

Damaged or Lost Parcels

If your order arrives damaged or appears to be lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible:

Live Animals

We do not ship live animals.
Live animals are available in-store only.
